From September17, as well as the universal 15 hours entitlement for all 3 and 4 year olds, there is an extended entitlement to increase the free hours available to 30 hours for some families.
Please take a look at
https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk or https://www.gov.uk/childcare-calculator to check eligibility for a range of government childcare offers, including 30 hours and tax free childcare (below). Those who could be eligible will be directed to the digital childcare service to apply.
TAX FREE CHILDCARE
From 2017, there is a new government scheme "Tax-Free Childcare" set up to help parents pay for childcare in England. For every £8 a parent pays in to their Childcare Account, the government will add £2 and the money in the account can be used to pay for childcare. Please see this link for more details [opens in a new window].
We are in the process of registering so we can accept payments from Childcare Accounts.
Prices & Funding 2017/18
We participate in the Derbyshire Early Years Partnership Scheme. This provides FREE places from the term after your child's 3rd Birthday (or 2nd if eligible). The scheme entitles you to claim for 15 hours of early years education. Some three and four-year olds may be eligible to extend their funded hours to 30.
Check out this link for more information on Early Years Funding in general or this link for more information on Early Years Funding for two-year-olds [links open in new windows]
If your child attends another setting, we can claim for some of the sessions and invoice you for others. If parents do not wish to claim funding under the scheme or have used all their funding elsewhere already, our fee is £12 per 3h session (or £4 per hour).
Pricing for unfunded places for children under 3 and for those not yet eligible for funding (i.e. those who turn 3 mid term) will remain at £9 per 3h session (or £4 per hour) until the end of the year. From January 2018, fees will rise to £10.50 per session (£3.50 per hour).
Lunch Club (12 noon - 1pm) & Afternoons (12 noon - 3pm) are charged at whatever the child's usual hourly rate is (i.e. either £4 or £3 per hour).
If eligible for funding, you may use this to cover lunch clubs (as long as part of a longer session) or afternoon sessions.
Fees can be paid either in one go or in two installments. Invoices will be provided within 10 days of your child commencing with us. We also accept payment by childcare vouchers.
We request a voluntary contribution of 25 pence per session to help cover the cost of snacks. We endeavour to provide children with a range of healthy snacks.
Your child will receive milk free of charge under the government's Nursery Milk Scheme.
