Our accounts are independently examined each year and are available from the treasurer. If our income is over £25k for a particular year, our Accounts and Independent Examiner's Report (IER), together with a Trustees Annual Report (TAR) will be submitted to the Charity Commission and will be available on their website.
Each year we submit an Annual Return to the Charity Commission which may be downloaded from their website.

Every family who has a child at Great Longstone Preschool is automatically a 'member' of the Great Longstone Preschool charity and is entitled to a vote at any general meeting; these are known as 'family members'. Membership is also open to anyone else who would like to help further the aims of the charity; these are 'associate members'.
Any member can be nominated to serve on the committee and hence become a trustee of the charity. At the AGM, members vote to elect the managing committee for the coming year. The managing committee are responsible for the day-to-day running of Great Longstone Preschool.
Below is a document "The Essential Trustee: What you need to know, what you need to do" produced by the Charity Commission which gives some information about the roles responsibilities of a charity trustee.
The managing committee meet each term and parents and staff are invited to come along to the meetings and participate.
