This week we continued to look at 'the farm' which helped us to get ready for our farm visit on Wednesday.
We have been outside lots - we went for a walk around the village and called into St Giles' church to look at the lovely flowers. We have built dens and played with the sand and we have also been playing skittles to help us recognise our numbers - some of the children were very clever and could recognise all of the numbers on the skittles.
On Tuesday, Mrs Bright (who is the teaching assistant in Class 1) came in to read us a story. This is the first of the events to help get the older children ready to start Big School in September.
On the craft table we have made animal masks and have also been making a very special card for Sunday so please watch out for it!
We are still looking at the letter 'g' this week.
The highlight of our week was the trip to the farm - it was wonderful! We saw cows and chickens and saw where the cows are milked and some of the children even fed the cows. We also all had a go on a tractor! At the end of the visit we were given a nice cup of cold milk from the farm. Thank you very much to Mr and Mrs Cox for a brilliant visit and well done to all the children who behaved so well during the trip.
