We have been learning about Africa this week and on the craft table we have made lots of animal masks. The children had free choice of pens, pencils, coloured paper, scissors and glue and everyone got creative.
On the games table we have played with the animal puzzles and have separated the animals which live in Africa from the other animals. We played with the blocks in the construction area - building and counting as we made the highest towers we could. And then the animals joined the blocks and so we made some super fences for the animals. On Monday we got ready for Shrove Tuesday by preparing lots of pancakes. We looked at measuring and weighing and what was 'heavy' and what was 'light'. Then on Tuesday we ate our pancakes and squeezed orange onto them. We have spent time outside when it wasn't raining too much and we have done lots of chalking. Someone kindly donated some puzzles and games to preschool and so the children enjoyed helping to sort out and check these. Comments are closed.
