Last Saturday we had our Nearly New Sale in the school hall and raised about £650 for the preschool as well as nearly £1060 for our sellers. We also donated eight bags for Bags2School and most of the remaining unsold and donated items went to a charity initiative called "Families Together" which is based in Sheffield and works with disadvantaged families, providing counselling, information and support.
In preschool this week we have been learning lots of songs for our Christmas nativity and have joined them together into a repertoire. On the craft table, we have started "making Bethlehem" for our wall display and have been making stars for the night sky. On the back of each star, we wrote our name; writing our own name is something we start to learn at preschool. On the maths table we have been playing with number puzzles and looking at recognising our number (our age). We have been out-and-about walking around the village and have visited the school hall for our weekly PE session. Comments are closed.
