Sports Day

This Monday we had our sports day on the recreation ground in the sunshine.  All the children did brilliantly in their races and everyone had a great day.  We had plenty of supporters and the mums' and dads' races were hotly contested... but don't think it escaped our notice that the teachers got away without racing this year....

Also on Monday, Mr Swift came in to take our photographs as part of a fundraiser for / as a memento of this last year at preschool.  On the craft table we started to decorate frames for our pictures.

Outside, we have played with the water and the sand and the footballs and even brought the home corner outside.  In the garden, we played on the climbing frame and the children built their own obstacle course.

The letter of the week was 'c' and we have been clicking castanets to help us learn the 'c' sound!
