This week we are looking at weighing and balancing. On the maths table we had the scales out and looked at how to weigh our toys and whether we had to put blocks into the tray or take them out in order to make the scales balance. We also counted toys into and out of the scales.
On the puzzle table we have been looking at height and age and the children completed a puzzle with children of different ages and heights and described who was taller or smaller, older or younger. We have done lots of super singing and sang the jolly phonics songs. This week we are looking at the letter 'u'. On the writing table, some of the children have practised writing their names. We are looking at how to form the letters of significance to us. Several days this week, we have cleared away all of the tables and chairs and have worked on throwing and catching a ball. We had some children with great co-ordination, even some of our two-year-olds could catch nicely! Comments are closed.
